Talboys was born in Bristol in 1863 and died in Weston-Super-Mare in 1941. She specialised in painting animals, but most of all cats. Her work is very much in the tradition of Henriette Ronner-Knip and Alfred Brunel de Neuville. She exhibited at the Royal Society of Artists, Birmingham and the Royal West of England Academy where she was elected an associate.
