Close up on players and chess pieces. Assistants take notes and hurry to the room of radiotelegraphists. Close up on women typing and cabling each move for every contestant. Close up on fingers typing and telegraph strips. Russian players are Grandmasters Vassily Smyslov, Isaak Boleslavsky, Salo Flohr, Alexander Kotov, Igor Bondarevsky, Andor Lilienthal, Masters Viacheslav Ragozin, Vladimir Makagonov and the young Master David Bronstein, aged 20. The Russians win and the other players come to congratulate Botvinnik.
