The Chiasso scandal, uncovered in 1977, in which employees of the Ticino branch of the Swiss Credit Institute (SKA) in a large-scale manner funds in dubious and insecure societies in Liechtenstein , resulted in a loss of about 1.4 billion Swiss francs for SKA.
