An armed Israeli Border Policeman stands guard over a group of elderly Palestinians who sit in the sun January 18 as a large group of Jewish settlers sing and dance their way through one of the major streets in town. The settlers were on their way to the cave of the Patriarchs from the Jewish settlement enclaves in the part of town remaining under Israeli security. A day after the Israeli security forces redeployed in Hebron, a curfew was imposed on the Arab market area to avoid tensions and Palestinians are planning a huge rally as well as a visit to the city by Palestinian President Yasser-Arafat on Sunday.
