The trial of Jewish student David Frankfurter. David Frankfurter shot down Nazi official Wilhelm Gustloff in Davos in the canton of Grisons, Switzerland, in 1936, out of protest against the persecution of the Jews. The government of the canton of Grisons sentenced Frankfurter to a long prison term, then pardoned him after the war and expelled him from the country. The image of December 10, 1936, shows the full courtroom during the trial in Chur in the canton of Grisons.
