Cover of Casabella, N. 581, July-August 1991, 20th Century, graphic, 31 x 28 cm
Whole artwork view. On a white background, stand out an orange headline above the table of contents, in black with red underlines, and a photo of a model in the Department of Architecture of the Tokyo University; the 1989 project by the Maky Laboratory, intended for the Ferry Terminal of the harbour of Zeebrugge, in Belgium, presents a steel and glass structure, standing out, in the model, in the middle of a woody area, against a yellow and orange background; the main feature of the building is a high body made by the composition of large glass triangles assembled to metal beams determining a sculptural appearance of the top, and stretching to the right side with two storeys glazed and squared; on the left is a high shelter made by a serrated roof supported by metal beams, and a third element, in the background, was shaped by Fumihiko Maki as a Ferris wheel.
